Time Trotters’ Tokenomics 2.0: The Glow-Up
Since May, the tokenomics are updated with new characters and utilities.

The Art
Time Trotters are charmingly-illustrated, completed with personalized backstories.
There are a total of 12 characters — Samurai, Persian, Totem, Skeleton, Cyborg, Matryoshka, Alien, Inuit, Viking, Zombie, Astronaut, and Caveman.
In terms of rarity, we’ve categorized them as Godlike, Rare, and Common.

Common: Inuit | Viking | Zombie | Astronaut | Caveman
Each character will be equipped with different backgrounds, headpieces (except for Godlike Trotters), hand elements, platforms and pets.
The characters were created with various social and economic issues kept in mind — from climate change and erasure of indigenous cultures, to the patriarchy etc.
Take Viveka the Viking as an example, she was created to challenge the popular belief that Viking warriors were exclusively men. That fact is that gender roles of the Viking Age have recently been recontextualized.
In due time, the characters and their storylines may be further explored as the project grows.

Each Trotter NFT will go for sale at 33ADA only (equivalent to ~0.02ETH). Individual Trotters will be sold, as well as sale bundles of 6 and 10 for collectors’ convenience.
The Utility
Aside from the excitement of collecting Trotter NFTs paralleled to any other NFT collection — the rarity charts, random pulls, secondary market chaos — we like being a liiiittleee extra.
Merge Tool
When we said there are 5080 Trotter NFTs for sale, we didn’t say the supply will remain the same.

Merging is the act of selecting two Trotters to create one merged Trotter, the initial two Trotters will be burned. Why bother with merging Trotters?
- Create scarcity.
If someone burned a Winged Lion (pet) element, this will lower the circulating supply, thereby increasing the value of any collector hodling the Winged Lion (pet) element. Any other Trotter collectors will also reap the benefits of the reduction in NFT supply - Hunt for era-specific elements.
If collectors follow the merging conditions, merged-Trotters can attain more era-specific elements, i.e., higher-level Trotters - Claw-machine excitement.
Take the chance of merging two not-so-rare Trotters, for the possibility of a merged-Trotter with rare elements (recommended only for collectors who like to live dangerously)
For clarification, the Trotters and elements were produced with a rarity of their own — similar to any other NFT collection. Trotter collectors can value them as they are according to the rarity guide.
As an additional cherry on top, we’ve infused levels to Time Trotters for extra fun. There are a total of 6 levels of Trotter evolution.
Level 1- Trotter + 1 era-specific element
Level 2- Trotter + 2 era-specific elements
… so on and so forth…
Level 6- Master Trotter (Trotter + all 6 era-specific elements)
Levels do not necessarily convey a more valuable Trotter. Instead, the Levels of a Trotter convey the amount of era-specific elements attached.
What are the 5 merging conditions?
The 1st Condition: Different characters cannot merge.
The 2nd Condition: Levels can be merged interchangeably.
The 3rd Condition: Era-specific elements will be carried over, whilst the non-era-specific elements will be generated randomly again in the merged-Trotter.
The 4th Condition: When merging two Trotters with the same era-specific elements, it will not contribute to levelling up the merged-Trotter.
The 5th Condition: Merging characters of the same variation (rainbow alien + rainbow alien) will result in a rainbow merged-alien. On that note, merging characters of different variations will result in a merged-Trotter of a random variation.
Updated Merge Fees
Many in the community shared their opinions of the merging fees, these opinions were furthered into productive discussions with various community members and seasoned collectors.
Last but not least, all of this merge-tool-talk has been neatly visualized by Time Trotters’ real-time dynamic rarity charts.
The merge tool is active now, and will continue to be active until the 31st of December 2021.
After the 31st Dec 2021, Time Trotters’ NFT policy will be automatically locked.

Weekly Comic Raffles
Collectors of Level 5, Master, or Genesis Trotters are eligible to participate in a weekly comic raffle.
All the 12 Trotters will have titbits of their stories uniquely illustrated as comic panels! For each Trotter, there will only be 31 comic NFTs in existence.
The comic raffles are categorized into 3 pools — Maximum Holder, Majority Holder, and Minority Holder.
- Maximum Holder [5 comic NFTs raffle]
Collectors hodling one of Level 5 AND Master AND Genesis Trotters are eligible - Majority Holder [6 comic NFTs raffle]
Collectors hodling a sum of any two Level 5 OR Master OR Genesis Trotters - Minority Holder [20 comic NFTs raffle]
Collectors hodling at least one of Level 5 Trotter
Examples:
1. Abby with two Level 5 Trotters, one Master Trotter, and 1 Genesis Trotter [Maximum Holder]
2. Alyssa with two Level 5 Trotters [Majority Holder]
3. Ben with one Level 5 Trotter and one Master Trotter [Majority Holder]
4. Jo with one Master Trotter and one Genesis Trotter [Majority Holder]
Any collector eligible for the Maximum Holder raffle will automatically be eligible for all the pools. Similarly, a collector partaking in the Majority Holder raffle is eligible for the Minority raffle as well.
Each collector is permitted to only win a comic NFT per character. Chosen collectors will need to send 2ADA, which will then be sent back along with the comic NFT.
Any unclaimed comic NFTs from the weekly raffles are given to the Time Trotters’ creators.
Where?
The weekly comic raffles will take place on Time Trotters’ Discord server, within exclusive channels.
When?
1st of August (Sunday), Cade the Caveman’s comic raffle will take place. Assuming the process ran smoothly, two character comic raffles will take place in each of the following weeks. By the 12th of September (on the 7th week), the weekly comic raffle will end with the Samurai’s comic raffle.
How?
The weekly comic raffle will follow the rarity chart, starting with Common.
The When-Does-The-Utility-End?!
Yup. More Time Trotters utilities ahead (it is a tokenomics white paper after all).
Master Trotters
Master Trotters have acquired all its era-specific elements. According to the variation of each character, there can only ever be 31 Master Trotters in existence.

- Original Settlements (background)
- Indian Smoke Pipe (left hand)
- Dreamcatcher (right hand)
- Wolf (pet)
- Unique Platform
Master Trotter Acquisition
In the spirit of an equitable playing field for new collectors, prerequisite parameters to acquire Master Trotters have been established:
- Master Trotters can only start merging from the 6th July, Tuesday, 18:00UTC
The beauty of a Master Trotter is too enchanting (even for the website). Therefore, collectors must head over to the Time Trotters’ Discord Server to open a support ticket under the channel, “merge-requests.” Collectors must have the required Trotters and merge fees.
*Any support tickets opened before 18:00UTC will not be prioritized*
Genesis Trotters
Genesis Trotters are Master Trotters + any Level Trotter, aka, a Master Trotter merging one more time.
Genesis Trotters are animated NFTs with custom music, and a Genesis collector will exclusively own a physical sculpture of their Genesis Trotter.
Initially, there were only 12 Genesis Trotters, one for each character. After consulting with the current Genesis collectors, and collectors within the Trotter community, the total Genesis Trotters will increase! Similar to the rarity of Master Trotters, only 31 Genesis Trotters will be in existence.
As of today, only 21 Genesis Trotters remain, amongst which are two Original Genesis (Inuit and Matryoshka).
Some differing attributes will be applied, so to appreciate the unique arrival of the Original Genesis and the Recently-Added (RA) Genesis.
- Background Colours
Only the Original Genesis can choose to have a background colour that will only be used with that specific Genesis, it will be a 1 of 1. - Platform Colours
Only the Original Genesis collectors can choose the colour for their Trotter’s platform, it will be a 1 of 1 too. - ID Numbers on Genesis Sculptures
The ID numbers will go according to which Genesis collector acquired it first. - First Pick At Colour Choices
Original Genesis collectors may first choose from the unique colour options available for their Genesis Trotters. From the remaining options available, the RA Genesis collectors will then be asked for their choice.
Genesis Trotters Acquisition
To ensure a fair chance for new collectors to acquire the Genesis Trotters, prerequisite parameters have been established:
- After 4 airdrops have passed.
The first airdrop takes place on the 2nd of July, the 4th airdrop will take place on the 30th of July. - The Final Sales must be sold out.
Many community members have raised justified concerns about the inequitable distribution of the Genesis Trotters. Thus, Genesis Raffles on Discord will be the method to decide which collector can merge up to the Genesis Trotters.
Once the prerequisite parameters are met, a Genesis Raffle for each character will take place on Discord.
In order to participate in the raffles, collectors must be in possession of a Level 4 Trotter (Godlike Raffles) or a Level 5 Trotter (Rare and Common Raffles) of the character they are pursuing. Please register at this simple Genesis Raffle Verification form, verified collectors will be manually added by the creators.
Master Trotters & Genesis Trotters
Given the popular demand of the Master and Genesis Trotters, a purchase limit has been set. Collectors may only purchase a total 30% Master Trotters AND 30% Genesis Trotters directly from the creators.

Weekly Trotter NFT Airdrop
Introducing Trotter airdrops! A NFT utility to offset market inactivity, and simultaneously reward collectors. There are a total of 200 Trotter NFTs available — all of which are randomly-generated Level 1 Trotters — for airdrops.
How to be eligible for a Trotter airdrop? By simply owning a Level 3 or Level 4 Trotter! They must be kept safe in the wallet for at least 120 consecutive hours (5 consecutive days).
- Each Level 3 or Level 4 Trotter = ONE entry into airdrop raffle
The first mint of a Level 3 Trotter will trigger the airdrop phase.
And so it begins! The airdrop phase had been triggered on the 25th of June.
Every 7 days, 10x Level 1 Trotters will be randomly airdropped.
The first airdrop will happen on the 2nd of July, two days before the Final Sales Wave!
Weekly Trotter NFT Airdrop ends when all 200 NFTs have been rehomed.
